Adrian Peterson to visit with Saints

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting free agent running back Adrian Peterson will visit with the New Orleans Saints next week. (IanRapoport on Twitter)

Peterson, who had already met with the Seahawks and Patriots this offseason, will visit with the Saints next week. Despite not garnering a lot of attention on the open market, the 32-year-old rusher is still fully expected to find a suitor for the upcoming season. Since the Saints lost Tim Hightower to the 49ers in free agency, they have a need at running back, more so, a backup for the injury-prone Mark Ingram. If Peterson does not sign with New Orleans, expect him to linger on the open market until after the NFL Draft.
