Josh Doctson expected to be ready for OTAs

by Anthony Cervino | Sun, Apr 9th 7:22pm EDT

Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden told the media wide receiver Josh Doctson (Achilles) will be "gradually" brought back on the field this offseason. "We’ll continue to gradually build him through OTAs and the mandatory camp so hopefully we’ll get him to full speed in training camp and go from there," Gruden said via Redskins.com. "I’m excited as heck to watch him play.” (Redskins.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Doctson, whose been dealing with a lingering Achilles injury since last offseason, appears ready to make his on-field return to the Redskins at OTAs. The 24-year-old wideout only played in two games in 2016, his rookie year, due to the Achilles which limited him to only two receptions for 66 yards receiving. With his health intact entering 2017, Doctson could emerge as Washington's No. 2 receiver behind Terrelle Pryor, especially with the departures of DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon in free agency.
