Mike Gillislee visits with Patriots

by Anthony Cervino | Thu, Apr 13th 6:38am EDT

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting the New England Patriots have "recently" hosted fifth round tendered Buffalo Bills running back Mike Gillislee on a free agent visit. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The Bills placed an original round tender on Gillislee in March, which equates to a fifth-round pick should he sign with another club. However, the 26-year-old rusher has yet to sign the offer and remains a free agent. New England, who are in need of a short-yardage/ goal line back with LeGarrette Blount still unsigned, hosted Gillislee for a free agent visit and could very well poach him from the division rival Bills -- the Patriots snagged Chris Hogan from Buffalo last offseason and also signed Stephon Gilmore at the start of free agency last month. Gillislee totaled 627 yards and nine touchdowns in 2016.
