Adrian Peterson unlikely to sign a deal before draft

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport believes that "barring a dramatic shift," free agent running back Adrian Peterson is "not expected" to sign a deal with a team before the NFL Draft, but "teams involved will continue to monitor" the situation. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It comes to no surprise that Peterson may have to wait until after the NFL Draft, that begins on April 27, to find a suitor for the 2017 season. After visiting with the Seahawks, Patriots, and Saints this offseason, he has yet to sign a contract and could remain a free agent all the way up to training camp. Despite the lack of activity, Peterson is still fully expected to be a member of an NFL team for Week 1.
