Fantasy Impact:

White, who would have entered his walk-year in 2017, signed a three-year contract extension with the Patriots Tuesday tieing him to the club until 2021. The 25-year-old rusher is coming off of a career year in 2016 accumulating 166 yards on the ground on 39 carries and a 4.3 YPC average. However, he did the majority of his damage as a receiver out of the backfield, producing a 60-551-5 stat line. White's fantasy value for 2017 is a question mark despite his good fortunes from last season. Not only are the Patriots searching for a power back in case LeGarrette Blount doesn't re-sign, but they also signed Rex Burkhead, who has a similar skill-set to White's. Sprinkle Dion Lewis into the mix and New England has an extremely crowded backfield leading me to believe that they will continue to roll with the hot hand as they had for much of the 2016 campaign.
