D'Onta Foreman to cut into Lamar Miller's workload?

by Anthony Cervino | Browns Correspondent | Sun, May 7th 10:15am EDT

Houston Texans beat writer Aaron Wilson believes rookie running back D'Onta Foreman will cut into Lamar Miller's workload in 2017. "The arrival of the Doak Walker award winner and 2,000-yard rusher could also lighten the workload and possibly reduce the wear and tear accumulated by starting running back Lamar Miller," Wilson said via the Houston Chronicle. Fantasy Impact:

Foreman, the 89th overall pick in the 2016 draft, could make an immediate impact in the Texans' backfield. Although Miller had a strong year in 2016 -- he received a career-high 268 carries for 1,073 yards and five touchdowns in 14 games -- his production became erratic in the second half of the season due to the wear and tear on his body. Since longtime Texans No. 2 rusher Alfred Blue has been sub-par at best when he is on the field, Foreman is expected to not only take over as the team's primary backup running back, but he could also add a spark as the change of pace back. However, because Miller is the clear-cut starter, Foreman's fantasy value will be limited. Foreman should be targeted in the latter rounds of upcoming fantasy drafts as Miller's handcuff.
