Dalvin Cook to see an expanded role in 2017?

by Anthony Cervino | Ravens Correspondent | Tue, May 9th 1:07pm EDT

Minnesota Vikings beat writer Ben Goessling believes rookie running back Dalvin Cook will "get a chance to play a big role right away." (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Cook will compete with Latavius Murray this offseason to see who will emerge as the Vikings' starting running back -- with the rookie being viewed as the early favorite to land the job. Because of Cook's versatility as a rusher and a receiver out of the backfield, he should receive plenty of opportunities to utilize his all-around skill set. Expect Cook to garner the bulk of the touches on early downs with Murray being sprinkled in as Minnesota's short yardage/ goal line back. Cook should be the second rookie running back targeted in upcoming fantasy drafts ahead of Christian McCaffrey and behind Leonard Fournette.
