Tavon Austin could return in time for training camp

Los Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead told SiriusXM NFL Radio that the "goal" is to have injured wide receiver Tavon Austin (wrist) back for training camp. (Alex Marvez on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Austin, who underwent wrist surgery last week, will miss OTAs. However, the team expects to have their underachieving wideout back in time for the start of training camp in late July. Snead also told the media outlet that he "hopes [Austin] he assumes a DeSean Jackson-like role" in the Rams' offense for the 2017 season. Although Austin has fallen out of favor with his fantasy owners, he is still worth a late-round flier due to his home run hitting ability anytime the ball is in his hands.
