LeGarrette Blount signs with Eagles

by Anthony Cervino | Wed, May 17th 10:22am EDT

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the Philadelphia Eagles and free agent running back LeGarrette Blount have agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth "up to" $2.8 million on Wednesday. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Blount, whose garnered limited interest on the open market, signed with the Eagles Wednesday. The veteran rusher is coming off of a 2016 season in which he accumulated a career high 1,161 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns. He will likely enter the upcoming season as Philadelphia's starting running back with Darren Sproles assuming the role of the team's primary receiver out of the backfield and change of pace back. Expect the Eagles to move on from Ryan Mathews in the wake of Blount's acquisition.
