Cameron Meredith not expected to return to action until training camp

Chicago Bears head coach John Fox told the media wide receiver Cameron Meredith (thumb) remained sidelined at the start of the team's mandatory minicamp Tuesday. (The Chicago Tribune)

Fantasy Impact:

Although Meredith is expected to miss all of the team's mandatory minicamp this week, Fox believes he "should be ready at the start of training camp or shortly thereafter." Coming off of a 66-888-4 season last season, Meredith appears poised to surpass those totals in 2017. Not only is he the presumed No. 1 receiver on the depth chart, but there are tremendous injury concerns surrounding the players below him that include Victor Cruz and Kevin White. At his WR42 ADP in PPR scoring formats, Meredith is worth a flier in the mid-to-late rounds of upcoming fantasy drafts despite the uncertainties at the quarterback position.
