Cole Beasley dealing with injury

by Anthony Cervino | Thu, Jun 15th 7:30am EDT

Dallas Cowboys beat writer Rob Phillips is reporting wide receiver Cole Beasley (hamstring) is dealing with hamstring tendinitis and has been sidelined through this week's mandatory minicamp as a "precaution." (Dallas Cowboys on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Beasley has been dealing with his lingering hamstring tendinitis issue since Week 10 of last season -- he played through the injury for the remainder of the 2016 regular season and postseason. Per reports, although running at full speed is not an issue for the shifty wideout, he is "still experiencing tightness in his hamstring after the catch." As a result, team trainers recently "decided rest before training camp might be the solution" while ruling out surgery as an option. Barring a setback, Beasley should be ready to return to full football activities at the start of July's training camp. However, if he is limited, expect rookie fourth-round pick Ryan Switzer to receive additional reps in Beasley's absence.
