LeGarrette Blount to be more involved in the passing game in Philadelphia?

LeGarrette Blount is known as a big, punishing running back with a knack for breaking tackles and dragging defenders for extra yards. He is not necessarily known for his pass-catching abilities. According to Eagles running back coach Duce Staley, however, that could change now that Blount is in Philadelphia. "He can catch the ball. I sent him on a couple wheel routes and he beat the linebacker. He was open. He can catch the ball in the flat," Staley said. "I would love to get him some screens so we can get that big body going north. He’ll scare some people." (PhillyVoice)

Fantasy Impact:

Adding receptions and receiving yards would only make Blount even more valuable than he already he is. He is expected to be the starting, short yardage, and goal-line back in Philadelphia, so catching balls out of the backfield would make Blount a more balanced fantasy contributor, especially in PPR formats.
