Derek Carr, Raiders 'close to finalizing' deal

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the Oakland Raiders and quarterback Derek Carr are "close to finalizing" a long-term deal. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Schefter is adding that Carr's new deal will pay him close to $25 million per year, which could be agreed upon and signed by Friday. When it's all said and done, Carr will likely become the highest paid player at his position.
