Jordan Howard undergoes offseason surgery

by Anthony Cervino | Fri, Jun 30th 3:46pm EDT

Chicago Bears beat writer Patrick Finley is reporting running back Jordan Howard underwent offseason eye surgery in May. (Patrick Finley on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Finley added that Howard underwent the procedure to "improve his vision and, he hopes, his pass-catching" as well. The second-year running back, who rushed for 1,313 yards and six touchdowns in 2016, only caught 29 targets for 298 yards with another score and could become a versatile threat if he can become a better receiver out of the backfield. From a fantasy football perspective, this surgery should not be an issue moving forward. He should still be viewed a mid-range RB1 for the upcoming season.
