Darren Waller hit with long-term suspension

by Anthony Cervino | Giants Correspondent | Fri, Jun 30th 4:14pm EDT

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting the NFL has suspended Baltimore Ravens tight end Darren Waller for "at least" one year for violating the league's Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The Ravens, who released Dennis Pitta in July after he suffered a season-ending hip injury, are now down their second tight end before the start of the 2017 season as Waller will be lost for the year as a result of his ban. Baltimore's TE depth chart currently consists of Benjamin Watson and Maxx Willaims, who are both coming off long-term injuries, Crockett Gillmore and Nick Boyle heading into training camp. The Ravens may now target Gary Barnidge, who is lingering on the free agent market, to bring in to compete for the starting job in 2017.
