Robert Turbin receiving praise from coaches

Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski told the media running back Robert Turbin "had a hell of a spring . . . much better this spring than he was this time of year a year ago.’’ (CBSIndy4.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Although the Colts employ Frank Gore as their starting running back, Turbin could see an expanded role in the offense in 2017 despite the addition of Marlon Mack in the draft. Turbin is coming off of an outstanding 2016 season in which he accumulated eight total touchdowns on 73 touches. He was one of the best short yardage/ situational backs in the NFL last year. From a fantasy football perspective, I'd view Turbin as Gore's primary handcuff who could not only maintain his role on the goal line, but he could also see an uptick in touches as well. Since he does not have an ADP currently, he'll likely be available in the late rounds of upcoming fantasy drafts and is worth a flier for sure.
