Robby Anderson not a lock for WR2 role in 2017

New York Jets beat writer Brian Costello does not believe Robby Anderson is a lock to enter the 2017 season as the team's No. 2 wide receiver. (New York Post)

Fantasy Impact:

Although Anderson is the favorite to open the 2017 season as the Jets' WR2, Costello doesn't think he is a lock for the job. He had an off the field issue in May at which he was arrested at a music festival but is unlikely to face suspension until the 2018 campaign for the offense. However, due to his small stature -- he is listed at 190 lbs by the Jets -- there is a fear amongst the organization that he could be dominated by physical corners in bump coverage. From a fantasy football perspective, I'd still expect Anderson to emerge as the team's WR2 to start the season, but with rookie ArDarius Stewart behind him, he could see an expanded role if the former struggles.
