Kenneth Dixon suffers meniscus tear

by Anthony Cervino | Tue, Jul 25th 9:10am EDT

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting Baltimore Ravens running back Kenneth Dixon (knee) suffered a torn meniscus and will undergo surgery to repair the injury.

Fantasy Impact:

Dixon, who is already serving a four-game PED suspension to open the 2017 season, could miss an extended period of time as a result of his torn meniscus. Although there is currently no timetable for his return, Rapoport said there will be more definitive answers post-surgery. It's looking more and more like Terrance West and Danny Woodhead will be the Ravens' top two rushers for the upcoming season. However, it wouldn't be a surprise if Baltimore addresses the RB position via trade or free agency. With the Eagles and Redskins expected to move on from Ryan Mathews and Matt Jones respectively, either one of those veteran backs could find a home in Baltimore if they are, in fact, released.
