Theo Riddick healthy for training camp

After spending the last four weeks of the 2016 season on IR and sitting out the entirety of spring OTAs, Theo Riddick has been told that his wrists are structurally sound. (Detroit Free Press)

Fantasy Impact:

Riddick, who is essentially a WR designated as a RB, was shoehorned into a workhorse role last year out of necessity as the Lions struggled to keep the position healthy. His health going forward may very well depend on his teammates' ability to stay on the field and allow him to excel as a pure backfield pass-catcher. He caught 53 balls in only 10 games this past season, and in 2015 he hauled in a staggering 80 passes. Riddick is a starting option in all leagues that use PPR scoring, and his ADP in PPR versus standard scoring jumps nearly 30 spots overall. His reception numbers are nearly guaranteed as long as he can stay on the field, providing a very high floor for his owners in PPR scoring, to the extent that his current ADP of 77 in PPR leagues can be considered a steal.
