Dalvin Cook taking first-team reps at camp

Minnesota Vikings beat writer Kevin Seifert is reporting running back Dalvin Cook is practicing with the first-team offense to open training camp. "At the early stages of a long competition, Cook has gained the edge simply by staying on the field," Seifert said via ESPN. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
With Latavius Murray on the PUP list and Jerick McKinnon sidelined with an undisclosed injury, Cook has managed all of the Vikings' first-team reps at running back. Since being selected in the second round of April's draft, the rookie rusher is the rumored favorite to enter the 2017 season as Minnesota's RB1, despite the addition of Murray in free agency. Barring an unforeseen turn of events, the job appears to be Cook's to lose.
