Solomon Thomas impressing at training camp practice

Solomon Thomas is starting to show his coaches and teammates what he is capable of after finally getting to practice. The third overall pick is receiving snaps at all levels on the depth chart while slowly climbing the ladder. (The Sacramento Bee)

Fantasy Impact:

Thomas is listed as a second teamer on the depth chart released prior to the first preseason game. With that being said he is listed behind Tank Carradine, who is a proven veteran but not as talented as Thomas. It should be only a matter of time before he takes over the starting spot at RDE. Regardless of if he is a starter or not he will receive his share of playing time as the 49ers figure to rotate players in and out in order to keep players fresh. With his versatility he can rotate to multiple positions on the line making him a three down player. In leagues that start multiple defensive lineman or that just start a lineman DE or DT he is in the conversation of DL3/bye week fill in with high upside. Keep an eye on him this preseason. If he gets substantial playing he will have double digit sack upside in this defense playing the Michael Bennett role, vaulting him into DL1 conversation.
