Darren Sproles sits out preseason opener

Darren Sproles did not play in Thursday's preseason opener for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Fantasy Impact:
Sproles not playing in the opener should not be a surprise, as the Eagles are just taking their time and giving their established veterans some rest. Expect Sproles to be out there for the second and third preseason games for at least a few series before most likely sitting out the fourth and final preseason game. Despite the addition of LeGarrette Blount, Sproles's role on the Eagles as a reliable pass-catching back has not changed.
