Ezekiel Elliott suspended six games

by Anthony Cervino | Patriots Correspondent | Fri, Aug 11th 12:18pm EDT

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has been suspended for six games by the NFL on Friday. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Schefter is adding that Elliott is fully expected to appeal his six-game ban. He has three business days to do so. This is a tremendous blow to the Cowboys and Elliott's fantasy owners alike. Once regarded a top three pick across all fantasy formats, Elliott's fantasy value will take a hit in the wake of his ban. Expect his ADP to fall into the mid-to-late second round or later, especially if he loses his presumed appeal. Also expect Darren McFadden to enter the 2017 season as the Cowboys' RB1, but Alfred Morris could also see significant work as well. The Cowboys' once clear-cut backfield is now a question mark.
