Steelers young defence impresses in Steelers preseason opener

by Alex Murray | Steelers Correspondent | Sat, Aug 12th 3:27pm EDT

The Steelers defence held the Giants to just 242 yards while keeping them out of the end zone all night, forcing four field goals. Pittsburgh also recorded seven sacks, picked off a pass and recovered a fumble in the 20-12 win.

Fantasy Impact:

T.J. Watt played a ton of snaps on Friday night and he made the most of them. The Steelers first round pick picked up two sacks and easily could have had a handful more as he was in the the QB's personal space all night. The Steelers also got three sacks from journeyman veteran LB Arthur Moats, who also picked off Geno Smith. Of course. The defensive line—which was the only part of the D that featured several starters—looked good as well, supplying pressure up the middle and holding the Giants to just 3.2 yards per carry.
