Pro Football Talk is reporting the NFL has closed its most recent investigation on Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott. (Pro Football Talk)

Fantasy Impact:

The NFL's investigation into Elliott's most recent incident, a bar room brawl at a Dallas night club on July 16, has been closed. The league could not find any reason to discipline the troubled rusher with the evidence presented to them. This is good news for Elliott as he is facing a potential banishment from the league. Currently, Elliott is suspended for the first six games of the 2017 season. However, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, this battle could be taken into the courts, a la Deflategate, and could drag out for a "long time," which means Elliott could be available for the upcoming campaign in its entirety. This situation appears far from over.
