Dane Evans completes 9-of-12 passes in preseason win

In a battle between Matt McGloin and Dane Evans for third string quarterback, Evans had the advantage on Thursday. He completed 9-of-12 for 92 yards and was intercepted once. Evans had a quarterback rating of 61.8 compared to 58.5 for McGloin.
Fantasy Impact:
Although Evans had the edge on Thursday is his competition with McGloin, he is still likely going to come up short in earning the third quarterback position. He could be retained for the practice squad.
