Nathan Peterman

Nathan Peterman the Bills' No. 2 Thursday night

Fifth-round rookie Nathan Peterman was the first to relieve starter Tyrod Taylor on Thursday in Philadelphia, confirming his rise to second on the quarterback depth chart ahead of veteran T.J. Yates, at least for now. Peterman completed 10 of 20 passes for 167 yards and gained 17 yards on two runs.

Fantasy Impact:

Peterman drew praise for the second game in a row. His stats through two preseason appearances are 23-of-45 for 279 yards, one touchdown and, perhaps most impressively for a rookie, no interceptions. He's also shown good mobility with 43 yards on six carries. After Taylor's dreadful start Thursday night, the Bills had to clarify that they are not actually considering a switch to Peterman as the starter. His dynasty stock continues to rise, and he could see regular-season action this year, whether because of a Taylor injury or benching.
