Russell Shepard is currently the No. 3 WR on the depth chart as rookie Chris Samuels missing time due to an injury. Shepard was signed to help fill the void of Ted Ginn but he's behind Greg Olsen, Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess in targets. (panthers.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Shepard could see some more snaps if Devin Funchess doesn't take that next step. However, Christian McCaffrey figures to also see plenty of targets out of the backfield. He's a WR5/WR6 at best at this point until Chris Samuels returns.
