Odell Beckham Jr. avoids serious injury

by Anthony Cervino | Tue, Aug 22nd 7:32am EDT

ESPN's Jordan Raanan is reporting New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) appears to have escaped an ugly hit to the lower body Monday night without serious injury. (ESPN)

Fantasy Impact:

Beckham returned to the sidelined in the second half of Monday night's preseason contest against the Browns after taking an ugly hit to the lower body earlier in the game, which forced him to the locker room to undergo an x-ray. The good news is that the results came back negative. The bad, however, is that the elite wideout suffered an apparent ankle sprain in the effort. Although we are close to the start of the regular season, Beckham is confident he'll be on the field in Week 1. "I don't know. I'm pretty concerned," Beckham said sarcastically via ESPN. "But I think I'll be all right."
