Ladarius Webb looking sharp in preseason

Garrett Downing of BaltimoreRavens.com reports that Ladarius Webb is having is best training camp in years, which bodes well for the team's defense. Webb has thrived since returning to his role as starting nickel back. Downing reports that Webb has impressed the coaching staff with how well he’s performed. “He’s having the best camp he’s had in a while,” Head Coach John Harbaugh said. “I really love the way he’s playing, love his attitude, everything about what he’s doing, leadership-wise is part of it, but he’s doing it by example. He’s doing it by the way he practices and the way he plays every single day.”

Fantasy Impact:

With a litany of questions surrounding the offense, the defense will need veterans like Webb to step up in a big way. The Ravens defense has impressed thus far, and if the rebuilt secondary can carry this momentum into the regular season, this unit could be a sleeper pick worth grabbing in the later rounds. Early matchups against top receivers like Cincinnati's A.J. Green are a legitimate cause for concern, but subsequent games against the Browns, Jags, Bears, and Titans (and Browns again) make the Ravens defense worthy of consideration.
