T.J Ward lands with Tampa Bay after being cut by Denver

by Gary VanDyke | Sun, Sep 3rd 7:55am EDT

T.J Ward reportedly will sign a one-year, five million dollar contract with Tampa Bay. The ink hadn't even dried on his release papers after being cut by Denver on Saturday. Ward is considered to be a top notch run defender and should be inserted into Tampa Bay's starting line up on day one. It's unclear at this time at who's expense his signing will effect. Fantasy Impact:

Ward goes from one good situation to another. His fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief. Deploy him as you would have before. Do keep in mind that Tampa Bay's linebackers are much more athletically inclined than Denver's are. Ward could possibly not produce at as high of a level as he did in Denver. But he should still remain a solid IDP play.
