Nathan Peterman 'ready' to start, coach says

Bills coach Sean McDermott said Monday morning that if Tyrod Taylor (concussion) can't play in Sunday's opener against the New York Jets, rookie Nathan Peterman is "ready" for an enhanced playbook and workload. "We're confident in Nathan," McDermott said. (Joe Buscaglia)

Fantasy Impact:

Peterman made some nice throws in the preseason but showed the inconsistent accuracy and conservative tendencies you'd expect from a fifth-round draft pick. That, plus the Bills' banged-up and degraded receiving corps, and the likelihood that a "game" between the Bills and Jets won't exactly light up the scoreboard make any quarterback there one to avoid.
