Eddie Lacy could get 20-25 carries on Sunday?

by Mike Tagliere | Wed, Sep 6th 9:52pm EDT

Seahawks beat writer Gregg Bell asked head coach Pete Carroll on Wednesday whether or not he thought Eddie Lacy could handle 20-25 carries if Thomas Rawls needed to miss the game against the Packers, and Carroll responded "yes." (Gregg Bell on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

This one shouldn't be guaranteed in any way, but it's a positive sign that Lacy is the starter if/when Rawls is out of the lineup. It's also important to note that Rawls returned to practice on Wednesday, so this could shape up to be a timeshare in Week 1. If Rawls is active on Sunday, consider Lacy a risky RB3, but if he's inactive, Lacy deserves RB2 consideration against his old team.
