Malcolm Mitchell placed on IR

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is reporting the New England Patriots have placed wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell (knee) on the injured reserve list. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Mitchell, who received a bump on the depth chart in the wake of Julian Edelman's injury, was placed on IR Thursday with a lingering knee injury. This could explain why the Patriots dealt for Philip Dorsett last week. As Mitchell had minimal fantasy value entering 2017, Dorsett, who had none, advances into Mitchell's bottom spot on the waiver priority list.
