Blake Bortles plays game manager in win over Texans

Blake Bortles completed 11 of 21 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Texans. He also had three carries for 13 yards.

Fantasy Impact:

The Jaguars defense did most of the work in this one, so Bortles was asked only to not lose the game, and he did that well. His top receiver, Allen Robinson, is thought to have a torn ACL, and Bortles' other weapons out of the passing game are uninspiring. In addition, with the defense looking ferocious, Bortles likely won't need to throw the ball as much as he has in past years, which could lead to his fantasy value taking a hit. However, considering he was on the verge of losing his job to Chad Henne this preseason, Sunday's performance should go a ways in giving Bortles some extra job security.
