Caleb Sturgis to the IR

The Eagles are sending kicker Caleb Sturgis to IR (designated to return) over a hip flexor injury, and signing kicker Jake Elliott off of the Bengals' practice squad. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Although Sturgis was an above average kicker, and is designated to return, it isn't worth it to keep an injured kicker on your fantasy team for that long. Drop him, and keep Elliott off your squad, since he most likely will be replaced by Sturgis when he's healthy again. The entire kicking situation for the Eagles is now one to avoid.
