Terrell Suggs leads Ravens DST with two Sacks

by Mostafa Razzak | Ravens Correspondent | Wed, Sep 13th 1:14am EDT

Linebacker Terrell Suggs recorded two sacks against the Cincinnati Bengals as the Ravens DST pitched a shutout in the 2017 season opener. Bo Smolka, Pressbox, wrote that Suggs stood out, with two sacks, including a strip-sack that stuffed a Bengals drive in the red zone. He also was involved in an interception when quarterback Andy Dalton threw a pass that glanced off Suggs' helmet. The Ravens' pass rush and secondary dominated the Bengals, picking off Dalton four times and sacking him five times during a resounding, 20-0 season-opening Ravens victory. In fact, never before in franchise history had the Ravens recorded four interceptions and five sacks in a game.

Fantasy Impact:

If they can stay healthy and continue to pressure opposing quarterbacks like they did Dalton, the Ravens will be a weekly must-start. Look for the Ravens to post another impressive outing in their home opener against the 0-1 Cleveland Browns who gave up seven sacks to the Pittsburgh Steelers in week 1.
