Kirk Cousins engineers winning TD drive to salvage quiet game on Sunday

by Micah Cedergren | Falcons Correspondent | Sun, Sep 17th 8:09pm EDT

Kirk Cousins threw a 4th quarter touchdown to lead the Redskins over the Rams on Sunday. For the day he completed 18 of 27 pass attempts for 179 yards and the lone touchdown. He also rushed three times for seven yards. The biggest positive is that he played turnover-free against the Rams after turning it over three times in Week 1.

Fantasy Impact:

It was a disappointing fantasy day for Cousins, salvaged only by the late TD throw. The Redskins came out pounding the ball on the ground, with Cousins coasting through most of the game without having much of an impact. An injury to RB Rob Kelley may put more of an emphasis on the passing game once again in Week 3 when the Redskins host Oakland.
