Brandon Marshall with just one reception in Week 2 loss

by Nick Ritrivi | Tue, Sep 19th 8:34am EDT

Brandon Marshall, unable to get on the same page with Eli Manning so far in 2017, managed just one lone catch for 17 yards in the Giants' 24-10 loss to the Lions in Week 2. Marshall had a huge second-down drop late in the game which would have gone for at least 30 yards. The drop eventually resulted in a punt on fourth down which iced the game for the Lions when Jamal Agnew took the punt 88-yards for a touchdown. Marshall also whiffed on a target from Eli Manning in the end zone in the fourth quarter.

Fantasy Impact:

The Giants offense, including Marshall, looks totally clueless out there so far in 2017. Targeted just five times in this week's disaster, Marshall's fantasy value is trending downward. Marshall will be very hard to trust as a Flex option in 12-team formats for the Giants' Week 3 game in Philadelphia. He should be relegated to the bench in 10-team and 12-team formats at this point.
