Pro Football Talk is reporting the NFL could elect to begin Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott's six-game suspension as early as Monday night's Week 3 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals if the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit rules in the league's favor. Fantasy Impact:

It appears that if the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit rules in the NFL's favor, the league could begin Elliott's suspension as early as Monday night -- if the court makes their ruling by Monday afternoon that is. In translation, Elliott could miss Week 3 and beyond, which means Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris will carry the workload for the Cowboys' backfield in his absence. However, this is also a situation that could drag out until the offseason, which is the expected outcome by most experts. Until the ultimate decision, it is a waiting game for Elliott's fantasy owners as well as Cowboys faithful.
