Ken Crawley stands out in win over Carolina in Week 3

by Gary VanDyke | Mon, Sep 25th 7:21am EDT

With starting CB's Marshon Lattimore (concussion) and Sterling Moore (chest) both out this game CB Ken Crawley answered well to be the next man up call. Crawley recorded eight tackles, one assist, and two passes defended leading the Saints defense in the win over Carolina. The fact that he played so well surely caught Carolina off guard while he was filling in. He may have earned himself an extended look on defense going forward.

Fantasy Impact:

By all accounts, Crawley probably wasn't in too many lineups in Week 3. And it would be a tough call at this point for fantasy owners to warrant a roster spot for him now. Latimore has had some injury issues so far in his rookie year so his owners will want to keep tabs on Crawley. This was only one game so temper expectations, but it is possible that we soon see him pushing Moore or even P.J. Williams for snaps going forward.
