Texans’ running back and return man Tyler Ervin’s season is over after he tore his patellar tendon in Sunday’s Week 4 win over the Titans. According to the Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson, Erving will undergo surgery on Monday to repair the damage. The injury occurred on a punt return early on in the game. (Aaron Wilson )
Fantasy Impact:
Likewise for many players thus far across the league in 2017, Erving’s season has come to a close too early. This is a tough break for the second year pro, who in limited opportunities on offense was lining up all over the field. His touches as a RB were going to be limited the rest of the way due to Alfred Blue returning from injury in Week 4 and the presence of Lamar Miller and rookie D’Onta Foreman, but Erving had carved out a small role as pass catcher. Erving has a long road of recovery ahead to be rady for 2018.
