Solomon Thomas records first NFL sack in Week 4

by Jacob Bridges | Jets Correspondent | Tue, Oct 3rd 11:51pm EDT

Solomon Thomas recorded five solo tackles, including two tackles for loss and one sack on four quarterback hits in Sunday's 18-15 overtime loss to Arizona.

Fantasy Impact:

Thomas tied for the team lead in snaps along the defensive line and produced a solid game because of it. He had been getting pressure on the quarterback but was finally able to break through with his first sack in the NFL. His versatility across the defensive front has been a big bonus and he has shown steady improvement each week. Thomas has the potential to record eight to ten sacks as a rookie and depending on his designation in your league could vault him into the low end DL1 category. However, until he produces with consistency he can't be counted on as a weekly starter but is worth an add even in shallow leagues as bye weeks approach.
