Carlos Hyde, Matt Breida to split workload moving forward?

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is suggesting the team will employ a "hot hand" approach at running back moving forward. (Matt Barrows on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It appears that Carlos Hyde will continue to start while Matt Breida is the second back in the rotation. However, whichever RB is playing well of the duo is expected to receive the majority of the touches as the game unfolds. From a fantasy perspective, I'd continue to start Hyde in the RB2 spot unless Breida maintains his current opportunity share. He out-touched Hyde 13-to-9 in last Sunday's Week 5 loss to the Colts. Although Breida is worth a look in the Flex spot for Week 6's outing against the Redskins, he should only be started in shallower fantasy leagues on teams with dire RB issues.
