The Philadelphia Eagles D/ST held on for a 28-23 win over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night, shutting down the Carolina rushing attack, sacking Cam Newton twice, and pressuring him into three interceptions.

The Eagles D/ST smothered that Carolina running backs on Thursday night, allowing just one rushing yard against them. Cam Newton rushed for 71 yards of his own, but he was also under constant pressure and threw three interceptions. Most importantly, the Eagles D/ST stopped the Panthers late in the game when they had multiple opportunities to drive for a winning touchdown.
