Denver Broncos gashed on ground by Giants

by Mark Leipold | Broncos Correspondent | Mon, Oct 16th 4:15pm EDT

The Denver Broncos D/ST was shredded on the ground by Orleans Darkwa and the Giants, surrendering 148 rushing yards, but only 128 passing yards, for a total of 266 net yards. The D/ST unit surrendered only 17 points, as 6 occurred on an interception return by the Giants. The unit recorded three sacks and no takeaways.

Fantasy Impact:

This was not the best showing from the Broncos D/ST, but it was still a respectable performance against a Giants offense that has struggled until now. 266 yards and 17 points is a good showing, but the lack of takeaways was a surprise. Denver remains one of the best defenses in the league, and can be used with confidence in most matchups. They draw LAC on the road in Week 7, which makes them worthy of a start, but not an elite unit for that contest.
