Dede Westbrook uncertain for Week 10

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone is suggesting WR Dede Westbrook (core muscle surgery) remains uncertain for Week 10. “We’re waiting for him to be ready to go at the level where we think he can get on the field and help us,” Marrone said. “Right now, he’s just not ready... We don’t want to bring him back too early if he’s not ready, and right now we have time on our side as far as when we to make that move with him. A lot of it is up to how he does (in practice).’’ (Roy Cummings on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Although he was eligible to be activated from short-term IR last week, Westbrook remained sidelined through the Jaguars' Week 9 win over Cincinnati. However, while all signs point to Westbrook making his pro-debut in Sunday's Week 10 matchup against the Chargers, the rookie wideout remains up in the air for the favorable contest. When he is indeed activated and ready for in-game action, I expect him to make an immediate impact on an inconsistent Jaguars passing game. With only Marqise Lee's job seemingly on lock-down, Westbrook has an opportunity to emerge as the team's WR2 or WR3 for the remainder of the year if he's impressive as he was in the preseason.
