C.J. Beathard named starter for Week 12

Kyle Shanahan announced on Wednesday that the 49ers will start C.J. Beathard at quarterback on Sunday against the Seahawks. (Bob Condotta on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Shanahan's announcement was a mild surprise, as many thought that Jimmy Garoppolo would get his chance to start after the 49ers' bye week. But Beathard's strong play, and likely the tough matchup, keep him as the starter for now. Garoppolo should get his chance at some point this season, and Beathard makes just a QB2 on Sunday.
