Cleveland D/ST allows 28 points to Steelers backups

by Matthew Adam | Browns Correspondent | Mon, Jan 1st 8:14am EST

The Cleveland D/ST finished the season on a low note as they allowed the Pittsburgh Steelers to score 28 points without Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, or Le'Veon Bell. The Browns managed three sacks and recovered one fumble in their 28-24 loss.

Fantasy Impact:

With many of the Pittsburgh starters resting, it was a disappointing outing against replacement-level quarterback Landry Jones and Stevan Ridley, who hadn't been a factor in the NFL since 2014. The Browns special teams also allowed a 96-yard kickoff return touchdown to JuJu Smith-Schuster. The pieces are there for this to develop into a solid defense but injuries and inexperience got the better of them this season.
