C.J. Anderon posts sloucher in season finale

by Mark Leipold | Tue, Jan 2nd 9:33am EST

C.J. Anderson capped a solid season with 18 rushing attempts for 61 yards in the Broncos' Week 17 loss to the Chiefs. He failed to catch his lone target.

Fantasy Impact:

Anderson was the clear lead back in a meaningless game, despite signs that Devontae Booker may have been on the rise at times late in the season. Rookie DeAngelo Henderson also got limited work, which is less than one might expect in a game where they could see what they have in him. These signs may indicate that Anderson is in the plans for 2018 and that the Broncos don't intend to use Booker or Henderson as the feature back. Keep an eye on the roster moves and draft picks for the Broncos, because Anderson might be a sneaky value come draft season for 2018 fantasy leagues. It may be overlooked that he topped 1,000 yards this season on the ground, which is good for 9th in the league behind names valued much higher than him in fantasy.
